  6. The Server outgoing name is: 'webmail.asemblon.com' you can give it any description. We suggestion 'Asemblon Outgoing'. Make sure to click 'Use Authentication' and use the same username and password as you did for incoming mail.
  7. You can't yet send Email, open up account preferences, and click on the Asemblon mail account. Under the 'Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): dropdown, click 'Edit Server List'
  8. Click the correct mail server (if you have multiple ones like below), webmail.asemblon.com. Click the advanced Tab. Make sure 'use custom port' is clicked, and set to '25'. Make sure 'Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is checked. Make sure authentication is 'Password' and you have your username and password set.

Adding your old Asemblon account (Ignore this step if you already have the old account installed.):

  1. Click Add Account...
  2. Follow steps 4 through 9 above. With the following changes:
    Incoming Server: mail.asemblon.com
Incoming Username: username@asemblon.com (full Email address)
  3. Your old asemblon email will now appear below your new email account.

Transfering Old Email to new Email account:

  1. Wait patiently while Mail.app fetches your mail. For small acounts this should take 30secs to 2mins. For larger accounts (anyone who uses the email system) it could take upto 10 minutes.
  2. Now you can drag your old emails from your inbox into your new inbox. Or if you want to organize, you can drag them into new folders on your new email account. Note. For large accounts, copying all the emails could take between 10-45minutes.
  3. If you have subfolders in your account, you can drag the whole folder across. Do this by dragging the folder to the 'Account Name' which is next to a little mailbox icon with a lock on it. It'll create a new folder below the trash. Depending on the size of the folder, again this could take 10-45 minutes for each folder.
  4. Please Note: dragging folders into the 'INBOX' folder will fail! drag to the root of your account, not your inbox.
  5. Although its not recommended that you do not use your email while folders are copying, you can still send and receive email. However do not use webmail while your folders are copying!
